SHOP FOR CASA KIDS
Starting June 1st, we will begin collecting back-to-school clothes for children living outside of their homes in the Brazos, Burleson, Freestone, Grimes, Leon,
Limestone, and Madison Counties.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Community members will submit an interest form to shop for a child (or children) using the Google Form linked below. The form will go over your shopping preferences for the drive. Once submitted, that response is sent to the Shop for CASA Kids co-chairs. They will match you with a local child in foster care based on your preferences. You will receive information on a local child in foster care such as the styles they are interested in, uniform requirements, favorite characters, etc. to ensure that you are able to find items the child is excited to wear.
For infants, we are working with a local church who is donating diapers, wipes, and blankets. We will happily accept more donations of these items, but the shopping will be done primarily for school aged children.
For teenagers 13+, we are collecting gift cards so that way teens can shop based on their own styles and interests.
***Please avoid articles of clothing that say mom/dad/etc.***
While several back-to-school drives around the area focus on school supplies, this drive is meant to provide other basics like clothing and shoes so that a child can feel confident going back to school. Our goal is to outfit our local foster children for excellence and provide two new outfits and a backpack to each child. Donations are due July 26th by 5 PM. If you have any questions, please give us a call at (979)-822-9700 or email Norma Noonan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
